Johannesburg - Despite a truce and return to the fold, Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi has yet to appear on a public platform for Cosatu.

He has also not shared a platform with SA Communist Party boss Blade Nzimande and Cosatu president S'dumo Dlamini. They are his chief opponents in the tripartite alliance.

Cosatu and the SACP held a bilateral meeting this week.

Vavi did not attend a press conference on Wednesday, which was attended by both Nzimande and Dlamini.

Cosatu spokesman Patrick Craven said Vavi "is not feeling too well".

The meeting discussed a range of issues, including that workers vote for the ANC in the elections.
