Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma's Tuynhuys office in Cape Town had to be evacuated for a short period on Monday morning.

“Early this morning, the presidency received information that smoke was coming out from one of the offices in Tuynhuys...” Zuma's spokesman Mac Maharaj said in a statement.

“The Emergency Management Services investigated and reported the source of the smoke to be an electrical fault.”
