Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma appointed four people on Thursday to serve as South African brand ambassadors, the presidency said.

They are former social development minister and High Commissioner to the UK Dr Zola Skweyiya, former KwaZulu-Natal premier Dr Zweli Mkhize, former North West premier Popo Molefe, and former Northern Cape premier Manne Dipico.

“They will serve as brand ambassadors who will, on a voluntary basis, assist and advise the president in the promotion of the country locally and abroad, within the ambit of Brand South Africa,” presidency spokesman Mac Maharaj said in a statement.
