Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has appointed 12 people to the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious, and Linguistic Communities.

“The appointment is with effect from March 1, for a period of five years,” presidency spokesman Mac Maharaj said on Wednesday.

Those appointed are:

* Thoko Nonhle Mkhwanazi (chair);

* Luka David Mosoma (deputy chair);

* Anton Wynard Knoetze;

* Renier Stephanus Schoeman;

* Sicelo Emmanuel Dlamini;

* Raymond Trollip;

* Richard Daryll Botha;

* Violet Nomalanga Tyamzashe;

* Bernedette Muthien;

* Pumla Primrose Madiba;

* Helen Julia Mabale; and

* Sheila Fihliwe Khama.
