Zuma appoints new remuneration commissioners

Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma has appointed three additional commissioners to the Independent Commission for the Remuneration of Public Office Bearers, the Presidency said on Tuesday.

The three new commissioners – Sipho Masenjana Sibandze, Garth Michael Barnard and Matshego Jacqueline Ramagaga join Loyiso Mbabane, Ronel Nienaber, Thandeka Nozipho Mgoduso and Justice Cagney John Musi, who is the commission’s chairman.

The commission was established to make recommendations relating to salaries, benefits, allowances and the resources required by public officials.

“President Zuma wishes the new Commissioners all the best in their new responsibilities,” the Presidency said.
