President Jacob Zuma during last years State of the Nation address. Picture: Michael Walker
President Jacob Zuma on Friday recommitted his government to advancing the ideals of the South African Constitution.
Delivering his annual state of the nation address to a joint sitting of the two Houses of Parliament, Zuma said 2012 was special in that it marked the 16th anniversary of the Constitution.
However, despite the promises made, the problems of unemployment and poverty persisted.
Women and children, especially, continued to suffer, he said. - Sapa

Sure is a step in the right direction. I would just love to know how the red tape will be lifted (from many angles) to allow new entrepreneurs onto the playground. I've always asked for less interference from Bargaining Cuouncil's - simply there to pay themselves - keeping themselves in jobs; at others expense; till the bottom falls out. Time will tell. Heres hoping.....
