A South African has been romantically linked with Tiger Woods’s ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, the Swedish former model, 30, has met the 35-year-old South African at a college in Florida where both are studying.
A source was reported as saying: “There has been kissing and cuddling, but I don’t know if it’s gone further.”
Despite dozens of reports posted on social networking and news websites, there were no details of the mystery South African, described by many as being “hunky” and “smart”.
According to Limelife.com, the two are studying at Florida’s prestigious Rollins College, where Nordegren is enrolled part-time to study psychology. The site said it was unclear whether the South African was an undergraduate or a graduate student, but according to sources, they had been enjoying some quiet dates.
Nordegren divorced Woods in August, in a settlement that allowed her to pocket R687m.
The couple split last year after rumours of the champion golfer’s infidelities hit the headlines.
During the scandal, Nordegren only spoke to the press once to reveal her embarrassment over her husband’s infidelities, and insisted that she wanted to focus on her two children and her studies.
