Another SA model is in hot water after she responded to the k-word tweet saga by saying she wished all white people were dead, a report has said.

According to Die Burger, Tshidi Thamana (@tshiditee) tweeted on Friday: “Dear Mr Peter Mokaba... I wish All White People were killed when you sang ‘KIll The Boer’ we wouldn’t be experiencing @JessicaLeandra’s racism right now.”

Thamana was referring to 20-year-old model Jessica Leandra Dos Santos, who on Friday sparked outrage on Twitter after using the “k-word” in a tweet.

The 2011 FHM Models Competition winner posted a tweet in which she said: “@JessicaLeandra: Just, well took on a on arrogant and disrespectful k***** inside Spar. Should have punched him, should have.”

Following angry responses to her comment, Leandra deleted the offending tweet.

She then responded: “Would u all stop! These are the kinds of people that land up raping young girls of our country! I wasn't going to let him get away with it.”

Later on Friday FHM South Africa distanced itself from Leandra and said on Twitter: “We're horrified that any1 would say such things! Those attitudes have no place in society or FHM!”

Leandra then posted an apology on her blog (http://jessicaleandra.com/apologies/) saying that she had acted in anger.

Columnist Mabine Seabe tweeted that he had reported Leandra’s outburst to the South African Human Rights Council.

According to reports, someone on Twiiter said they would report Thamana to the SAHRC as well.

Thamana’s tweet then also caused further outrage and she later deleted it from Twitter and said: “Dear everybody... Why does everybody think I’m a rcist for saying that being a racist is wrong SMH ... Really Now!!!”

After Department of International Relations and Co-operation spokesman Clayson Monyela tweeted at her that her words amounted to hate speech, Thamana responded: “Not hating but what she did is wrong,We should appreciate each other not judge and prejudice our fellow humans...”

Although she initially declined to apologise, she crumbled on Sunday and tweeted: “Yes, racism is wrong and I apologise for the ?kill all whites’ tweet ? It was tweeted in anger.”

Later she added: “Dear SA, sincere apologies for the death wish for white people, it was tweeted in anger and yes, condemnation of each other is wrong.” - IOL, Sapa
