The remains of two babies have been found in one Cape Town neighbourhood on the same evening.
In the first incident, children disturbed dogs trying to make a meal of a baby's head.
The kids called Samora Machel community leaders when they saw the bloody remains.
Nontombi Madinga, 18, said she thought the dogs had managed to eat the body before they were disturbed at around 6pm on Thursday evening.
"The dogs were eating something that was in a refuse bag," she said.
"And then some boys went to the dogs to break them up so they could see what they were eating.
"They got there in time before they could eat the head."
Madinga said the bloody black bag had been stuffed in a drain.
"No one knows the mother of the baby," she added.
At around the same time in a different part of Samora Machel, a dead baby was found in a public toilet.
The baby was covered in human faeces and paper.
Police on the scene say this is the fourth baby they found in the same area.
They believe the infant was in the toilet for a quite few days. - Daily Voice
