Seven people were killed in a car accident on the N2 between Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape on Tuesday, paramedics said.
Four other people sustained minor injuries and were taken to various hospitals, Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.
Among the dead was a two-year-old child.
The cause of the accident was not known. - Sapa
