Four injured in ambulance crash

Eastern Cape -

Four people travelling in an ambulance were left injured after the vehicle crashed while they were transporting a patient to hospital in Lady Frere on Tuesday, the Eastern Cape Health Department said.

“The driver, the patient, the (medical) assistant and a relative of the patient were all injured,” said spokesman Sizwe Kupelo.

He said the details of the accident were unclear but no other vehicle was involved.

All the occupants of the ambulance have been taken to hospital. - Sapa
