Six people have been killed in an accident involving a herd of cows and three vehicles, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.
A Volkswagen microbus, Nissan bakkie and Ford Figo collided after one of them crashed into a cow crossing the N2 around 7.30pm on Thursday, Captain Jackson Manatha said.
"All the vehicles were coming from East London towards Butterworth."
Six people died on the scene -- three women and a man in the microbus and two men in the Ford.
