Plettenberg Bay - Police have found the remains of a third person believed to have drowned after a fishing boat went missing in Plettenberg Bay last week, it was reported on Wednesday.

Captain Bernadine Steyn told the Cape Times the body was found on Tuesday morning.

“DNA tests will have to be conducted to establish the identity,” she said.

The boat failed to return to shore on Thursday night after fishing on the Keurbooms river. It was believed to have washed out into the ocean through the river mouth.

According to the report, the bodies of Leatitia Wildeman, 43, and her son, Luan, eight, were found last week.
