Johannesburg - Two people were killed and two others injured in an accident that may have been caused by rainy weather at Kei Cuttings on the N2 in the Eastern Cape, SABC radio news reported on Sunday.
Eastern Cape Arrive Alive spokesman Tshepo Machae said a Polo Vivo overturned killing two people instantly, while the other two people are in a critical condition at Nelson Mandela Academic hospital in Mthatha.
Machaea said heavy rains and slippery roads could be the cause of the accident and urged motorists to be cautious when driving in bad weather conditions.
He also warned people in rural areas not to cross overflowing low-lying bridges as heavy rains continued to pour in the region. - Sapa
