Bloemfontein - A seven-year-old girl died when she was hit by a bakkie on the Old Thaba Nchu Road in Bloemfontein, Free State, on Friday afternoon, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said she was declared dead at the scene.
“The bakkie that hit the child lay in the veld next to the road. Fortunately the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries,” he said.
