Ten people were injured when a bus and car collided between Fouriesburg and Bethlehem on Saturday, paramedics said.
“The bus and car were travelling in the same direction, towards Fouriesburg, when the bus slammed into the car,” said NetCare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks.
“The bus left the road and ploughed into a ditch.”
Provincial health department spokeswoman Elke de Witt said one child was among the injured.
“The road is open but scene clean up later may delay motorists. Motorists are reminded to drive carefully,” said Elke de Witt.
The injured, who were found lying near the bus, were taken to the Dihlabeng Regional Hospital and the Pekolong District Hospital. -Sapa
