Johannesburg - A 26-year-old man was found dead in an open veld in Thabong on Sunday, Free State police said.
Malefetsane Mbena was discovered near Erfdeel bridge by a passer-by, said Warrant Officer Malebo Khosana.
“He sustained multiple stab wounds all over the body, at the back, chest, his head was also hacked and his throat was severely cut with sharp objects.”
An officer who attended the scene said the police believed that he was killed somewhere else and dumped in the veld.
No one had been arrested and police were investigating, said Khosana. - Sapa
