A man died on Friday after he was struck by a car on the R702 in Bloemfontein, Netcare 911 said.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the man died before their arrival due to the extensive injuries that he sustained,” said spokesman Chris Botha.

The man was believed to be in his sixties.

Details about the cause of the accident were still being investgated. - Sapa
