Johannesburg - At least 35 people were injured when two buses collided on the N8 approximately 30 kilometres outside of Bloemfontein, in Thaba Nchu on Wednesday, paramedics said.

“Paramedics and rescue services arrived on scene where they found two buses that appeared to have rear-ended each other. A truck was also involved in the collision. Numerous people were found on the scene,” ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said.

“Majority of the passengers from the buses were walking around on scene. Thirty-five people were assessed for minor to moderate injuries. There were also several passengers that fortunately sustained no injuries.”

He said authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
