Bloemfontein - A woman died and three people were injured on Sunday when the car they were travelling in rolled off the road outside of Bloemfontein, Free State, reported ER24 paramedics.

“One woman died, two boys sustained critical injuries, and another woman sustained minor injuries when a vehicle lost control and rolled into a veld earlier today,” said ER24 on Sunday.

The car rolled off the national route N8 in Petrusburg, approximately one kilometre outside Bloemfontein. All four occupants had been ejected from the vehicle.

“A woman believed to be in her 30’s was assessed. Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for her. She was declared dead,” said ER24.

The three other occupants were two boys - believed to be 12 and 14-years-old - and another woman.

The older of the two boys was airlifted to hospital while the other two occupants were taken to hospital by ambulance. The cause of the accident was not known.
