Free State - Six people were killed when two vehicles collided head-on along the N3 highway between Warden and Villiers on Friday morning, the Road Traffic Management Corporation said.

Five more people were injured - one seriously - when the driver of a Toyota Tazz lost control of the car and crashed into an oncoming Vito, spokesman Ashref Ismail said.

Both vehicles caught fire on impact. The injured were stabilised on the scene and taken to a local hospital. - Sapa
