There have been 15 accidents due to rainy conditions, Johannesburg metro police said on Saturday.

“Roads are wet and slippery in Johannesburg due to continuos rain. Fifteen accidents have occurred since 6am,” said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minaar.

“Two vehicles have collided at the intersection of Maraisburg and Commando Roads in Industria.”

Details on the accident were not immediately available.

“Motorists are advised to reduce speed, keep a safe following distance and keep their headlights on,” said Minaar. -Sapa
