Johannesburg - A truck carrying cement overturned in Midrand, between Johannesburg and Pretoria, on Thursday, Johannesburg metro police said.
“Motorist are advised to use the Old Johannesburg Road as an alternative. All lanes on the N1 north heading to Pretoria are closed,” said spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.
He said a passenger in the truck suffered minor injuries.
Minnaar said the cause of the accident would be investigated.
