Cullinan, Pretoria - A girl died and her nine-year-old cousin was critically injured in a car accident on the N4 near Cullinan, near Pretoria, on Friday evening, paramedics said.

Netcare911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks said the driver lost control of the car and it rolled several times.

Both girls were flung from vehicle. One of them died before paramedics arrived. The other was airlifted to the Netcare Garden City Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver was not injured. - Sapa
