A man died and three people, including a five-year-old child, were injured in a head-on collision in Verulam, north of Durban, on Friday, said paramedics.
A bus and car crashed into each other on Dickenson Road, said Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha.
He said the car was found pinned under the bus. The car's driver was killed. Firemen had to use the Jaws-of-Life to free the injured.
The cause of the accident was not known,
Botha said child and the other injured were taken to various hospitals in the area. - Sapa
