A strike by some Gautrain workers ended on Thursday, said the Bombela Concession Company said on Thursday.
“All trains and stations continued to operate as normal during the industrial action and are expected to operate normally again tomorrow,” the company said in a statement.
Spokesman Errol Braithwaite said the on-day strike was over “pay and conditions”, but could not elaborate.
“Negotiations are ongoing, but everyone will be back at work tomorrow,” he said.
The Gautrain bus service implemented a reduced service on Thursday and this would remain in place until Monday, said Braithwaite.
“Gautrain sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to customers as a result of the strike,” he said. - Sapa
