Pretoria - A Pretoria hospital has been given R1.75 million in memory of Madiba.

The donation was from clothing company Truworths.

“The R1.75 million donation is in honour of Madiba as a contribution to the refurbishment of the Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital in Pretoria which is planned to be completed by June 2014,” said Truworths chief executive Michael Mark on Sunday.

“We believe that this and previous contributions will greatly assist in the provision of better-quality healthcare to the patients who use these facilities and will make a significant difference to their lives as well as the doctors and staff who work under very difficult circumstances.”
