A closed meeting between Alexandra township residents and Gauteng local government and housing MEC Humphrey Mmemezi was underway in Joburg on Friday afternoon.
Mmemezi was meeting Alexandra residents after foreign nationals living in RDP houses were threatened earlier this week.
Residents warned foreigners to vacate their houses in seven days.
Memeza was expected to brief the media shortly on the outcome of the meeting. – Sapa
