Johanneburg - The number of people who died in an accident on the N12 near Lenasia on Thursday has risen to two, Johannesburg emergency services said.
“The death toll stands at two. It is a male and a female. Both died at the scene,” said spokesman Robert Mulaudzi.
He earlier said a man was killed and 12 people injured when their taxi overturned on the N12 highway near Lenasia on Thursday evening. The man died on the scene.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
