Johannesburg -
A man died when eight shacks caught fire in the Zamimpilo informal settlement in the early hours of Sunday morning, Johannesburg emergency services said.
The man was trapped inside one of the burning shacks and died from smoke inhalation, spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said.
The cause of the fire was not known. Zamimpilo is near Riverlea, west of Johannesburg. - Sapa
