Johannesburg - A man was seriously injured when two trucks and two cars collided in Roodepoort, on the West Rand, on Friday morning, paramedics said.
The driver of a Volvo was found in the remains of his car, crushed between two fuel tankers at the intersection of Hendrik Potgieter and Christiaan de Wet streets, Strubens Valley, around 9am, Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.
He was freed and taken to hospital.
Johannesburg metro police spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said three lanes of Hendrik Potgieter Road had been closed due to a diesel spillage from one of the trucks. - Sapa
