Johannesburg - A man was pushed off a moving train in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, during an attempted robbery, paramedics said on Saturday.

He suffered head injuries and was found lying conscious at the Birchleigh Station platform on Friday night, ER24 spokeswoman Luyanda Majija.

“The patient told paramedics that he had been pushed off the train as he was fighting off men who were trying to rob him yesterday evening.”

He was treated and transported to Tembisa hospital for further medical care.
