A man died when a light delivery vehicle crashed into a truck in Boksburg on Wednesday morning, said Ekurhuleni metro police.
“A man in his 40s was declared dead on the scene. He was the passenger in the delivery vehicle,” said Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng.
The 55-year-old driver of the delivery vehicle was rushed to Sunward Park hospital for treatment. He had been seriously injured, he said.
The 50-year-old driver of the truck was traumatised, but did not sustain any visible injuries.
A case of culpable homicide was opened and the cause of the accident would be investigated by an accident reconstruction unit, said Mokheseng. - Sapa
