Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates defender Rooi Mahamutsa was involved in a car crash in Marlboro, Johannesburg, on Wednesday, the club said.
Pirates spokesman Mickey Modisane said team manager William Okpara had accompanied Mahamutsa to hospital.
“I can confirm that Rooi was involved in an accident, but he is fine; he did not suffer any injuries,” said Modisane.
He said the BMW that Mahamutsa was travelling in was a write-off.
“I suspect that the accident was caused by the rain because roads are slippery in Johannesburg.”
