Johannesburg - Electricity supply to areas in Soweto was cut on Friday, Eskom said.
“Eskom is aware of electricity supply interruptions... due to cable faults. Technicians are on site repairing the cables,” said the utility's Gauteng spokeswoman Reneiloe Semenya.
Power was expected to be restored in Orlando West around 6pm and at 10pm in Emdeni.
