Limpopo - A Limpopo pharmacist has been fired for making a racist remark to a colleague, the Sowetan reported on Wednesday.
Stuart Muller was found guilty and fired from the Clinix Private Hospital last Tuesday, the same day he insulted colleague Emmanuel Mokati.
Hospital manager Marinda Bouwer said hospital management received information about what had happened, investigated and discovered it was true.
The newspaper reported that in addition to using the derogatory word, Muller had also written on a piece of paper, referring to Mokati as a “boy”.
“Immediately after we got the information about the incident we instituted an internal investigation.”
Bouwer said the hospital did not tolerate racism.
Approached by the newspaper for comment, Muller said: “I don't think it's appropriate to discuss the matter with you.” - Sapa
