Pretoria - Protesters burnt down two houses in Pretoria

West on Saturday morning.

The houses were believed to be scene of prostitution and

drug peddling.

One of those houses is a house called the Doll House in

Rose-Etta Street.

Neighbours alleged the landlord, Anne Marie van Zyl, was

renting out her house to foreign nationals who ran a brothel and a drug den.

The community said it had tried, but failed, to engage

the police on several occasions.

When the Pretoria News arrived at the house, there were

two young half naked females sitting the back of the burnt down house.

They refused to speak to the media. There were numerous

condom packets on the floor, dresses and shoes.

Van Zyl, who had been living there for four years said

the tenants slept through the day and were extremely active during the night.

"I can’t say for sure they are prostitutes, but they

have numerous people visiting them every night”

Police spokesperson, Lungelo Dlamini said police were

investigating a case of malicious damage to property.
