Pretoria - Power is expected to be restored in Silverton and Silvertondale later on Tuesday, the City of Tshwane said.
The power failure on Monday was caused by vandalism and cable theft, municipal spokesman Lindela Mashigo said in a statement.
The power supply was initially expected to be restored by midnight on Monday.
Repairs however took longer than expected, but it was anticipated the problem would be fixed during the course of Tuesday.
