Johannesburg – Ten people were injured on Saturday night when the taxi they were travelling in overturned on Main Reef Road in Robertsville, Johannesburg, Gauteng paramedics said.

“Shortly after 8pm paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the majority of the patients walking around on the scene,” spokesperson Werner Vermaak said.

One patient was found lying near the overturned taxi. Paramedics assisted the injured and treated them for various injuries.

They were then transported to Leratong and Helen Joseph hospitals.

The reason for the taxi overturning was unknown and it was believed that no other vehicles were involved in the accident, Vermaak said.
