Three killed at Joburg taxi rank

Johannesburg - Three people were shot dead at the Wanderers taxi rank in Johannesburg on Tuesday, police said.

Police suspected it was connected to taxi violence in the area, Captain Pinky Tsinyane said.

Two other people were wounded and taken to hospital.

According to an SABC report, one of the men who died at the scene was a bystander caught in the crossfire.

No arrests had been made and a case of murder was being investigated, said Tsinyane. - Sapa
