Johannesburg - Three people died and two others were injured when a delivery vehicle crashed into a group of four people in Centurion, Gauteng, on Friday morning, paramedics said.
“Paramedics found that a light delivery vehicle had knocked over four pedestrians, resulting in three of the pedestrians tragically losing their lives, and the fourth pedestrian was found to be in a serious condition,” Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.
The driver sustained moderate injuries.
The injured were treated on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital.
The accident took place on Lenchen Avenue around 6am, Steinmann said. - Sapa
