Johannesburg - A tow truck driver was seriously injured when he crashed his vehicle into a house in South Hills on Tuesday night, Johannesburg metro police said.
The truck had been towing a beer van when the driver lost control on Oudspan Road, said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.
“He hit a tree and then drove through a fence of a property and crashed into the bedroom of the house.”
Nobody inside the house was injured.
The driver of the beer van was not hurt.
Minnaar said the tow truck driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services personnel. He was taken to Union Hospital.
