A truck driver was killed on Friday afternoon when his vehicle overturned in Protea Glen, Soweto, Johannesburg emergency services said.
It appeared the 18-wheeler driver was trying to avoid other cars, spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said.
Paramedics found him trapped in the wreckage and used the jaws of life to extricate his body. One lane of the N12 East was closed.
