Two dead as car crashes into tree

Johannesburg - Two men were killed and three others were injured when their vehicle crashed into a tree in Kibler Park, south of Johannesburg on Tuesday, emergency services said.

Johannesburg Emergency Medical Services spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said paramedics were still attending to an earlier accident on the Peggy Vera road when the second crash occurred.

“This accident happened around 500 metres from an earlier accident, where an 18-wheeler truck crashed into four cars... Five people were killed in that accident,” said Mulaudzi.

The surviving three people from the second crash were treated on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.
