Johannesburg - A man and a one-year-old child were killed on Tuesday when their taxi overturned on the N3 in Heidelberg, paramedics said.

“Paramedics arrived on scene to find that passengers had been ejected from the taxi as it rolled, said ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson.

A one-year-old girl and a man had died. The other passengers and the driver were taken to various hospitals.

The taxi, which was carrying 15 people, was travelling towards Johannesburg when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and it rolled just before the Nigel off-ramp. - Sapa
