Two men were killed in an accident in Roodepoort, Joburg, on Friday, Gauteng paramedics said.

An 18-wheeler truck collided with a Volkswagen Polo, ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said.

The men's bodies were found underneath the truck and there was nothing paramedics could do for them, she said.

The truck was carrying a load of wood at the time.

One of its occupants sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. – Sapa
