Johannesburg - EVER wondered where you would live if you became a millionaire?

Well, wonder no more, as global wealth consultancy New World Wealth has narrowed down the top 30 cities you can choose from.

An in-depth analysis of the global high-net-worth community of millionaires with assets of $1 million (R11m) or more was updated for the end of September last year.

The richest of the rich make sure they own properties in London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Over 330 000 millionaires call London their home while around 160 000 prefer the busier streets of Hong Kong.

New York is home to 300 100 millionaires while Tokyo and Singapore have 226 500 and 225 000 wealthy people.

Los Angeles, Chicago, Frankfurt, Mexico City and San Francisco round off the top 10.

No African cities made it to the top 30. Joburg was ranked the highest African city with around 23 000 millionaires.

Surprisingly, the Middle East did not feature.

Paris comes in at number 11.

The US comes in first with seven cities in the top 30.
