The body of a woman who had been raped and strangled was found in Kagiso on the West Rand, Gauteng police said on Sunday.
Spokesman Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said the 40-year-old woman was found by Sinqobile residents in an open field near the Madala Hostel at 8.30am on Sunday morning.
The woman, who lived in the area, could not be named because police were still searching for her relatives. No arrests had been made. - Sapa
