About 20 Hillbrow residents turned up for a march on Thursday against evictions from city buildings.
Community leader Moses Ka Moyo said they were expecting hundreds more people for the march.
"We will march to the Johannesburg High Court to hand over our memorandum. We are tired of being evicted illegally by people with papers they claim were issued by the High Court."
There was a strong police presence ahead of the march set to begin in Twist Street. - Sapa
