Fourteen people were injured, two seriously, after the taxi they were travelling in overturned in Tongaat in Kwazulu-Natal, paramedics said on Saturday.

Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said the taxi was travelling down a steep hill on the R614 when the driver lost control and it rolled several times.

The injured were stabilised on the scene and then taken to various hospitals. - Sapa
